Joseph Henry Andrus

Joseph Henry Andrus, a retired Vice-President of Loan Review at Whitney National Bank passed away on September 14, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born on June 29, 1938 in Port Barre, Louisiana and was a resident of Norco.

Joseph served in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of Etoile Polaire Lodge and enjoyed camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Henry and Elodie Fonetnot Andrus and his son, Aaron Andrus.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Iris Guillory Andrus; his loving daughters Jeanette Andrus Whitney (George), Susie Powell (late Edward Powell) and Dawn Brown (Steve); his grandchildren Jessica Pfister (Jimmie), Ashley Ranatza (Kevin), Brittany Powell (Joshua Nye), Steven Brown Jr., and Erin Andrus and his great grandchildren Hailey Ranatza and Luke Ranatza.

The family would like to give special thanks to Susan Powell and Hospice Compassus for their excellent care.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
