James P. Anderson, Jr. born January 2, 1943 passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the age of 80.
James was a graduate of Saint Aloysius High School Class of 1961. After high school, he furthered his education at Delgado Community College and graduated. Then he began working as a draftsman, and worked for McDermott. He later retired from Walter Zehner.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where he attended until his health declined. He enjoyed coaching baseball at Lakeview Playground from 1991 until 2005. He also had a love for golf, and was a member of the City Park Golf Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents James P. Anderson, Sr. and Julia Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Rogers Anderson; daughter Marie Jeansonne Sicard (Danny); son, Patrick James Anderson (Yvette); grandchild, Sophia Valentina Anderson.
Services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM followed by Mass at 2:00PM. Interment will be at Lake Lawn Park.
