Irma Padilla

A loving mother, wife, and homemaker who was dedicated to serving God and her family.

She was a true example of a selfless woman; she lived by loving God first, her family second, and herself last.

For the holidays she enjoyed prepping food and loved having her entire family over. She was selfless, loving, and fun to be around. She made sure her family had the best of everything. She enjoyed church on Sundays, hot coffee in the mornings, and Popeyes chicken in the afternoon.

Irma is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Juan E. Padilla and her nine children: Sonia M.Ayala, Reyna L. Padilla, Irma Y. Padilla, Carlos A. Padilla, Oscar A. Padilla, Oscar R. Padilla, Carmen S. Padilla, Martha I. Padilla, and Nuria J. Salazar. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She left a legacy behind and was loved by many.

A funeral service celebrating her beautiful life will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 12:00pm(visitation) and then followed with mass for 2:00pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Interment will be private.
