Helena C. Truxillo

TRUXILLO, Helena Coogan passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, August 3, 2018. Proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years Woodrow Wilson Truxillo. Beloved mother of Terrence H. Truxillo (wife Dana), Christine Truxillo, Thomas C. Truxillo (wife Debbie), David M. Truxillo (wife Joni), Donna T. Malloy (husband John), Peter A. Truxillo (wife Lynne), Richard P. Truxillo and the late Timothy C. Truxillo (wife Wanda). Daughter of the late Leo M. Coogan and Helena C. Porter Coogan. She was preceded in death by her eight siblings Michael, Stanley, Hubert, Gerard, John (Jack), William, Audrey Hare and Patsy Barolak. She is survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews of the extended Truxillo and Coogan Families. Age 95 years and a lifelong resident of New Orleans and Metairie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Saint Angela Merici Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Garden Drive, Metairie on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be at Saint Angela Merici Church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “The Drew Rodrigue Foundation”, PO Box 1428 Metairie, La., 70004.
