Glenn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Verna Puig and Archie and Mildred Holmes, and his nephew, Mark Ahlemeyer.
He is survived by his beloved parents, Archie “Ed” and Linda Puig Holmes; his three sisters, Jan Holmes Ahlemeyer (Lynn), Sheri Holmes Knobloch (Kenny), and Lisa Holmes Kidd (Lee); his two brothers, Gary Holmes (Debbie) and Scott Holmes (Marcy); his cousin, Gina Shinn Inman (Jimmy); and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was born in New Orleans on April 4, 1963. In 1981, he graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School. He continued his education at U.N.O., where he received his bachelor’s degree. He worked as a physical education teacher for many years.
Glenn loved to play tennis and golf and was known for his meticulous yard work. He also enjoyed activities with his many nieces, nephews, and siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
