He is survived by his father, Henry Joseph Blanchard (Linda Callender); stepmother, Paulette Smith Phillips; former spouse of nine years, Gretchen Van Vrancken Blanchard; daughters, Katelin Blanchard Stengel (Corey) and Ashlynn Marie Belk; stepson, Jamison Joseph Hingle; granddaughter, Karina Elise Stengel; uncles and aunts, Philip and Debbie Hoffman, Rodney and Lynne Trentadue, Frank and Lynn Fury, and Eric and Phyllis Swearingen; and cousins, Angelle Hall (Troy), Abbie Kern (Chris), Felicia Hoffman, Amanda Bene (Steve), and Philip Hoffman, Jr. (Samantha). He is also survived by his stepsisters, Tammy Phillips St. Philip (Chuck), Cassie Lynn Jackson (Joshua), and Tracy Nettles (Jason), and stepbrothers, Jason P. Phillips (Anita) and Malcolm Callender.
Glenn was preceded in death by his biological parents, Glenn Gerard Phillips and Kim Hoffman Blanchard; grandparents, George and Gayle Hoffman, Jr.; uncles, George S. Hoffman, Frank Hoffman, and James Miller; and aunt, Fay Miller.
Glenn was a graduate of Grace King High School and attended U.N.O., where he studied hospitality management. He was a master electrician, and a classically trained chef. Glenn enjoyed playing the guitar and music, especially the Beatles. He loved fine food, and spending time with his family and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Memorial Baptist Church for all of their love, compassion, and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM. The interment will follow the memorial service at Lake Lawn Park.
