Frank is survived by his wife of 56 years, JoAnn Poncet Tarantino, daughter Annette T. Holcomb (Lee), daughter-in-law Kelli Tarantino Miller (Harold), grandchildren Christy Broady (Thomas), Cameron Lemcool, Frances (Frankie) J. Tarantino, Claudia Holcomb, and great grandchildren Elenore and Emily Broady. His surviving siblings are Richard Tarantino (Eileen) and Laverne T. Broussard (Charles). Additionally, he was brother-in-law to Francis Dee Tarantino, Emily Tarantino, Katherine Poncet, and Lilian Poncet Merry (Dan). He was also a beloved nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his son, Frank J. Tarantino, III, his parents Frank J. Tarantino, Sr. and Melia Maestri Tarantino, siblings JoAnn T. Langenstein (William), Jerry Tarantino, and Johnny Tarantino and brother-in-law Al Poncet.
Frank was a social, active man who was deeply involved in the Knights of Columbus and the St. Joseph Altar at Our Lady of Lourdes church for many years.
A memorial service Mass will be held Saturday, April 7, 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 400 Westchester Place, Slidell. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until Mass.
