Francis was also preceded in death by his first wife of two and half years Shirley Gettys Harris; sisters Rosemary H. Zeno, Agnes H. Wilson, Alberta H. Romanow, Leona H. Flowers, and Helen H. Homan.

Survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret S. Harris; daughters Debra Gogreve (Ricky), Darlene Kerr (Raymond), Misty Richardson (Shawn); sons Francis “Sonny” Harris (Melissa) and Daren Harris (Mary); grandchildren Lucinda Montgomery (Michael), Ryan Higgins (Stephanie), Allee K. Burton (Clint), Tyler Richardson (Shelley), Angel Gogreve, Caleb Kerr, Jelsie Kerr, Jordan Harris and Alyssa Harris (Potter); great grandchildren Merek Montgomery, Hadley Montgomery, Layla Higgins, Rylee Higgins, Amelia Burton, Cooper Burton, Leah Richardson, and Savanna Richardson; sister Geraldine H. Keyser; brother Raymond Harris (Mary Ann).

He will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, his Kentucky family and his beloved dog, Sammie.

A visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Friday, July 29, 2022 beginning at 11:00am followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00pm.
