Elizabeth Riley Sintes passed away peacefully with her devoted husband and family at her side on October 1, 2021, at the age of 85. She was born on November 17, 1935, to the late Edia Cheramie and Frank Edward Riley, Sr. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a current resident of Gastonia, North Carolina.
Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Leonard J. Sintes, Sr., for 63 years. She was the loving mother of Elizabeth Huber (Mark), Leonard J. Sintes, Jr., and Susan Kluchin (Ronald). She was the proud grandmother of Matthew Tortorich (Lori), Allison Park (Eric), and Nicole Kluchin, and great grandmother of Matthew, Catherine, William, Thomas, Felicity, Peter, and Mary Grace Tortorich, and Josephine Park. She was the sister of Ruth deVezin (Howard), Edward F. Riley, Sr. (the late Antoinette), and the late Frank E. Riley, Jr. (Dorothy), and Rose Riley (John Lamy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3310 Jefferson Hwy., Jefferson, LA 70121. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
Donations are welcome to the National Votive Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor at Ursuline Academy. Mass Intentions are also welcome.
