Earl Anthony Dufrene, Jr. (Bayou) born April 15, 1950, died October 28, 2018. Cherished husband of Mary Wallis Dufrene. Beloved father of Gia Dufrene, Melody Dufrene (Glenn Eschette), Maia Dufrene and Lia Dufrene. Stepfather to Kathryn C. Suire (Tim) and Anne C. Arana (Julio). Brother of Darlene Freels (Dennis) and Deborah Freeman (Rodney). Grandfather to twelve and great grandfather to three. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by parents Earl, Sr. and Velma Dufrene and brothers, Tony Dufrene and Troy Dufrene. Earl was among the finest of men. He was gentle, kind and unassuming. Earl was dearly loved. His death is deeply saddening for family, friends and employees of Bayou Concrete Pumping and LaPlace Concrete. Mourned and Beloved. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
