Catherine "Sis" Levigne Serio

Catherine “Sis” Levigne Serio was born on November 19, 1932 and passed away October 6, 2024 at the age of 91. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA. She was a homemaker and loved playing cards and going to the casino.

Beloved wife of over 74 years to the late Salvador “Sal” A. Serio, Sr. Daughter of the late Frank and Grace Palermo Levigne. Loving mother of Cathy Serio Boever (Dick) and Sal A. Serio, Jr. (Joanne). Adoring grandmother of Dana Vidal (David), Shelley Bouterie (Alan), Brian Boever (Heather), David Serio, and Amanda Rigney (Patrick). Also survived by 13 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Blaise Levigne. Aunt of Nina Levigne Breaud and Frankie Levigne Stogner. She is also survived by many cousins, friends, including Sr. (Rosemary) Nicholas Schiro, RSM, who was like a sister and close friend Sr. Mary Evelyn Fournet, RSM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
