Carol Wilder Pouey, a native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Metairie, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014, age 66 years. Beloved wife of John L. Pouey. Dear mother of John L. Pouey, Jr. (Vicki), and Michelle P. Sullivan (David). Grandmother of Emma and Dalton. Sister of Alton “A.C.” Wilder (Vivian), Joseph Wilder (Brenda), and the late Edward Wilder. Daughter of the late Alton Charles Wilder and Caroline Conrad Wilder. Also survived by sister-in-law Connie Thompson, and many loving friends, nieces, and nephews.
Carol was a member of the Bonnie Street Dinner Club, the Rosedale Homemakers Club, and the Pokeno Club. She loved caring for the children at Goldilocks Nursery.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM.
