Bill Foster

Bill Foster passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the age of 82 surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Clyde Junior Foster and Mary Jobe Foster. Bill graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in civil engineering. He worked as an oil field engineer. For ten years he was in the Middle East with IMS in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Tehran. In 1980 he established Zirtech, Inc. an oilfield service company in Slidell. Bill resided in Slidell for the past 40 years. He loved Georgann, the Saints, fishing and poker. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Georgann Lex Foster; sister and brother in law Lugene Lex Leslie (Frank Leslie) and Phyllis Lex Burgess (Freddie D. Burgess); nephew Frederick Burgess; godchildren David Eads, Danny Eads, Joel Hammontree. Special thanks to his caregiver Irish Morgan for her devoted service and the Zirtech family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
