Bernice Marie (Triche) Kindred, 97, of New Orleans, Louisiana, died from complications resulting from a stroke on May 4, 2017 at her son’s home in New Orleans. Born April 20, 1920, she is predeceased by her parents, Nickles Triche. and Marie (Saurita) Triche of Lockport, Louisiana and by her late husband of 51 years Howard E. Kindred of Sedalia, Missouri.
“B” was the owner-operator of Royal “600”, an art, antique and jewelry boutique located at 626 rue Royal in the French Quarters. Her pastimes included gardening, collecting antiques and devouring copious amounts of coffee and French pastries.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna E. (Kindred) Rubli and son-in-law, Jerry Rubli of Spring, TX; her son, Fred R. Kindred, of New Orleans, LA ; her grandson, Jason Rubli, of Houston, TX; her granddaughters, Angie (Rubli) Bouzerand of Houston, TX and Kate (Rubli) Rothe of Austin, TX; and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 2pm in the chapel of the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans, LA. Immediately following funeral services, a gathering will be held in the Banquet Room of Landry’s seafood restaurant located at 8000 Lakeshore Dr., New Orleans, LA.
