I’m sure you got the balloon yesterday from Landon    He was so happy to send it.   Our son misses you so much.  We went to see Aladdin after he sent the balloon.  We went with your mom and Jennifer.   Landon was cracking up the whole time.  Wish you would have been there to see it.   He reminds me so much of you.

Last night landon was asking a lot of questions about your heart.   He wanted to know why your heart wouldn't work any more and if his heart was just going to stop like yours.  I explained best I could to him.  This morning he wanted to send a balloon to you, so when we were done at krispy kreme we let the balloon go.  He picked a red one for you!  he watched it go the whole way until he couldn't see it anymore and he had the biggest smile on his face.  He was so happy that it was reaching you.   He misses you so much and loves you more than you can imagine.  Keep watching out for him.  We all love and miss you!

3 years have gone by.  I can't believe it has been 3 years. It still seems as tho it was yesterday.   Please please continue to watch over us all.  We miss you a bunch. Here we are the 10th again.  The sky was beautiful this morning. The sun rays where shining down from above    I know you send little signs to us and we appreciate and love it.   Landon was asking me who named him and if u loved him and if you knew him.  Of course I explained how you liked the name Dylan and we both liked Landon and decided on that one   I also told him you love him very much and you knew him bc you were there all the time.  Landon asked if your muscles were as big as hulks and I laughed bc you and the King Kong comparison is the same as Landon and hulk.  Every thing to do with being strong or muscles is always referred back to "like hulk"   This child has your personality and your thoughtfulness and your love.   He has the biggest heart and is always showing his love.   I wish you were here to see him.  He told me he wants me to sign him up for fight class bc another little boys dad signed him up.  I'm thinking he means wrestling and he told me I have to do it since you can't.  That brought a tear to my eye.  Keep watching over us we ❤ And miss u!

Well another 1st in our little mans life. He went and had a cavity filled.  Talk about funny!!! I know you were with him these last couple days and me too.  Crazy things have happened like the elevator door closing all the way and then reopening like someone pressed the button and no one is there.  The door opening before I actually go to open it.  Thank you for being there when I need u most. Landon never stops talking about you.  We miss you a lot   Keep looking out for us we love u!!

Today is Landon's birthday.  A day we celebrated when he was born.  I will never forget you sitting in the chair at the foot of my bed holding on to him and looking down.  You wouldn't let go.  If I knew now what I didn't know then, things would have been different.  I would have let you hold him a little longer, would have let you stay a little longer, would have let you loved on him a little longer.  You were only able to share 2 and a half years of landon's life with us.  Continue watching over our now big little man! 5yrs old, wow where has the time gone?!?!   We miss and love you! we had some more closure this past weekend.  we had a garage sale and we sold a lot of your things.  all through out the day my butterfly came fluttering around.  I knew it was you. you were probably on the same page as me with saying we were charging to much haha.  I will never forget the garage sale we had where we were selling flat screen tvs for $10  your mom wanted to kill us lol! 
I know you are around a lot.  landon does some of the funniest things and all I can do is laugh and wonder what you would be thinking.  we had a lunch date, he and I, and music came on and he got up and started dancing, in my head I immediately thought about you. and he sat down and said "really son"  I asked him who said that and his response " my daddy"  thank you for always being with him.   we miss you!

Happy "50th" Birthday!   Landon asked if you were having a party today and eating cake.  I told him you were having an awesome party with Jesus today.  He wanted to know if he could go and I told him we couldn't.  It broke my heart because he doesn't truly understand.    He hopes that you get cake he said.  We miss you.  Just know not a day goes by that we don't think of you.

landon had orientation today at school.   I can't believe our little one is going into PreK 4.   He fit right in with the other kids.  He was laughing and playing and all I could think about was "make plenty of friends and no enemies"   Man, does he have a lot of friends!   Keep shining down on us.  Landon has so many questions that are getting more in depth about your passing.  Help me answer him in the best way possible.  We love and miss you!!!!

here we are again, the 10th.  Landon saw a picture of you with hair last night and he thought it was the funniest thing ever!.  I was showing him your track pictures and I said wow look at those muscles in his legs and landon said " yeah that's gross" lol!   your mom and I explained that its not gross and that you were very healthy.    We enjoy sharing memories of you, but wish you were actually here to retell the memories of your past to landon.  We miss you and we love you.

I can't believe next month will be 2 years since you left us.  2yrs and it seems just like yesterday.  I find myself replaying that day in my head quite often.  I will never forget the sound in your brothers voice and all I thought about was your dad at first. Never ever thought he could have been talking about you.  The uneasiness and the sadness that came thru the phone was the absolute worst day of my life next to the final goodbye.  Since you have left us Landon has grown into a little man   Your parents help me tremendously with him and Landon looks up to your dad like no other   I think they both help each other with the situation.  Your memory will never die   Landon absolutely knows who his father is and will always. He tells me he misses you and wants to know if we can just call you for a second, just one second.  It breaks my heart.  I have told him that you are always around, we just can't see you and that he can talk to you when ever he would like to.  I find him talking to u a lot. Here we are the 10th again.  The days seem to fly by. Landon got accepted to his school. He starts big boy school this year.  He is so excited!! I often find myself here.  I know that you continue to walk hand and hand with Landon.  Thank you for always guiding him.   School is going great.  He hears what you told all your children "Make plenty of friends and no enemies"  He stops and ask what an enemy is and i tell him, if you are anything like daddy you won't have any. Here we are again the 10th. Landon is starting school Monday.  I know you are looking after him.  Wish u were here to really see him on his first day. One of many things you will miss out on.  But don't worry I'll smile as big as ever and let him know how proud we both are of him.  I'll always do that.  I'm not going to lie, it will be tough but he has a special angel watching over him . we just got back from disney!  landon had an absolute blast.  I'm sure you saw him, we saw the butterfly every day in the park.  Thanks for always walking side by side with Landon.  One night the sky lit up from the lighting and Landon said, "thats my daddy"   it was a reassuring sign that even he knew you were there.   We miss you and will continue to keep your memory alive!

Tomorrow is Father's Day.  A day you should be here to celebrate. Instead we will visit you at your final resting place.  This is way harder than I ever imagined.  We miss you so much.  Some kids don't know their father bc the their father isn't there for them for whatever selfish reason they may have.  I know you wanted nothing more than to spend life showing Landon everything you showed your other children.  As I write this the tears flow from my eyes.  None of this is fair.  Landon is growing up without a daddy. It's so unfair. And it hurts so much.  I know you didn't choose this and God did.  He has a greater plan than anyone could ever imagine and I trust Him.  I just wish you were here to experience everything that our child is going thru.  Please continue to guide and help me in raising him. I see your signs, don't ever think they go unnoticed.  Thank you for everything you have ever did  and for reminding me how precious life was and is.   You taught me so much more than you will ever know.  We miss you to the moon and back.

Here we are 11months later. i can't believe its been almost a year.  it still seems like yesterday. We miss you tremendously. Landon reminds me soooooo much of you it isnt funny !  he loves to make people laugh and be the life of the party, sounds like someone i know....BARRY! ha ha  He is just like you.  I wish you were here to see it.  I know you are looking down laughing you butt off at him. how could you not?!?  Barry, we miss you and love u!

Sunday is Easter and it's yet another holiday you won't be here physically for.  We know you are around us all the time, we feel it.  Landon wanted to see you this past Sunday so I took him to your final resting place.  It was one of the saddest things I have ever experienced next to having to say our final goodbyes. He brought you flowers with a butterfly.  The same color butterfly I see every day since you have passed.  He tells me all the time that he misses you and that he misses your truck. I laugh and explain to him that you no longer have it and he says it's not fair.  And boy is he right.  None of this is fair.  As I type this tears flow from my eyes bc you are missed so much. So many things I wish we would have been able to do together for landon and it's all gone. I miss you so much Barry and so does Landon    Keep shining down on us we love you

Here we are again and it's the 10th. 10 months since you left us.  Landon woke up this morning determined to wear a suit. So he did lol! I could only think about u with the determination he has. Keep watching over us.  Your missed more and more every day!

I'm so lost for words that as I write this all I can think about Is how much he will be missed and his children. I worked for him at Hebert - Wiltz and got to know him and his sweet family. He and his family were a part of my life for a while which I truly enjoyed and was treated with much respect and as part of their family. May God rest your soul! You will be greatly missed! Barry is a great man and father.  I now use one of his quotes with my children all the time. "Make a new friend every day and don't make any enemies".  (Barry Herbert 84)  Brian stated this at the funeral that Barry would tell this to his children when dropping them off at school. He and his family are wealthy for these words. My prayers are with his family always.

Barry was my insurance agent. He was so kind, professional, and always helped me quickly. I received the letter today about his passing so Young! I feel really sad! I'm sorry!

As I reflect today, I can't believe it's been two months since my best friend from high school was laid to rest-- too young! In the early years, Barry and I were inseparable with track and travels, dances and double dates, and of course our DJ business. In the later years, I really wish we had spent more time together. During the funeral events, I witnessed an outpouring of love for this man. He touched all of us in a special way. I am happy to have met his kids -- I can see his spirit in their eyes.  I know that his legacy will carry on in them.  I pray that God has received my friend into heaven, where he may be teaching others the rubiks cube or one-handed push-ups or pole vaulting or just making folks smile and laugh. I've just learned of this information   and I must say my husband and I are in total shock. I pray for the children and family and may you find confort in know Barry has brought joy to somemany people lives. He has been my insurance guy since 2000 and we were loyal to him soley for his person. Truly great guy and he will be missed!
