Born in Antilla, Cuba, Antonio attended Delgado Community College and had a long-standing career in HVAC. More than Cuba, fishing, being on the water, and listening to music, Antonio loved spending time with family.
Antonio is survived by mother Eulalia Planells; siblings Juan M. Planells (Ly) and Jaime Planells; nieces and nephews Angel Planells (Melissa), Juan Planells, Jaime Planells (Julie), Melissa Thomas (Charles), and Sean Fried (Arin); and great-nieces and great-nephews Matteo and Mina Planells, Javi Planells, and Oliver Thomas. He was preceded in death by father Antonio P. Planells. .
The family would like to give special thanks to family and friends, and to God.
A visitation for Antonio will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM, and interment thereafter at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
