Annie Bruno Traina

Annie “Anna” Bruno Traina passed away peacefully at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family on Monday April 16, 2018. Aged 92 years, born in New Orleans and for the last 70 years resided in Metairie. She was a strong willed woman who never gave up, even until the very end. She loved to travel, go to the casino, and most importantly loved her family. With just an 8th grade education, she and her late husband, founded and ran C.T. Traina, Inc., one of the areas most thriving plumbing and mechanical contracting companies. The business continues today through her loving family and loyal staff.

Survivors include her loving children Patricia Traina, J. C. Traina (Jo Ann), Gary Traina, and Mary Alice Traina Kennedy (Neal). She also leaves behind a sister, Rose Majors (Lenny); brother, John Bruno (Judy); and brother-in-law, Louis "Al" Traina. Also survived by her grandchildren who she adored, Brandon, J.C. Jr., Cody, Jessica and Sarah; a great granddaughter, Cameron; and many close and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Charley Traina, her parents, Charles and Johanna Bruno; and godchild Mary Ann Pisciotta.

The relatives, friends of the family and employees and customers of C. T. Traina, Inc. are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, Saturday April 21, 2018 at 2 P.M. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until time of services with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
