Annie Fontana Bertucci passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the age of 88. A native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie for 50 years. Beloved wife of Frank Joseph Bertucci, Jr. for 62 years. Annie had a love for taking care of her family and ability to cook anything from scratch. Her Italian Fig Cookies, Pasta Milanesa, and Crawfish Bisque are some of her renowned dishes that will truly be missed. Prior to becoming a homemaker, Annie worked for BellSouth and the New Orleans Coroner’s office. Annie enjoyed traveling North America with her husband in their motorhome. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and two sons Dino Frank Bertucci and Ricco Frank Bertucci. Loving mother Gino Joseph Bertucci (Pamela), Anna-Maria Bertucci Trahan (John C. III), Dino and Ricco. She is survived by six grandchildren Tara Trahan Thibeau (Geoff), John C. Trahan IV(Ankitha), Amberlyn Bertucci, Kaitlyn Bertucci, Christopher Bertucci, and Isabella Bertucci. Proud great-grandmother to Graydon Joseph Thibeau, Savannah Thibeau, and Conrad Thibeau. Annie was the daughter of the late Vito and Crucifissa Fontana. Sister to the late Jake (Eola), Nat (Lydia), Roy (Nancy), Carmella Talia (John), Vita Tomm (James), Josie Orth (Andrew); and survived by sisters Rose Ricks (Jerome) and Augustine Taylor (Charles). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 4317 Richland Avenue, Metairie, La. on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 12PM followed by a funeral mass. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
