

Angela Cusanza Palmisano passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose warmth, wisdom and deep love of family will be forever cherished.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Angela spent her life immersed in the vibrant culture of the city she adored. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy and earned her associate’s degree in Louisiana History which led her to a fulfilling career in tourism. As a proud licensed tour guide for the state of Louisiana, focusing on the City of New Orleans, she shared her knowledge, stories, and passion with countless visitors, offering them a glimpse into the soul of the Crescent City.
Angela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph J. Palmisano, and her parents, Salvador Cusanza, Sr. and Angelina Venezia Cusanza. She is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Palmisano Steckler (Robert) and Sheri Palmisano Klemm (Robert); her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Joseph Steckler (Hillary), Melissa Elise Steckler, Baron Alexander Steckler, Cameron Alexis Steckler, Peyton Klemm Gardner (Mason), Jordan Rebecca Klemm, and Mason Patrick Klemm; great grandchildren, Daniel Pulsipher Steckler, Henry Joseph Steckler, Naomi Blair Steckler, and Evelyn Angelina Steckler; brothers, Salvador Cusanza, Jr. (Darlene) and Martin Joseph Cusanza (Sharon); brother-in-law, Louis Adrian Palmisano (his late wife, Diane); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Angela's life was a testament to faith, family, and heritage. She held her Catholic faith close to her heart, and her Italian roots shaped the traditions and love that filled her home. Whether gathered around the dinner table or strolling the streets of New Orleans, Angela lived with a grace and joy that touched everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy in Kenner, Louisiana, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:30 AM. The visitation will begin at 9 AM with recitation of the Rosary at 10:45 AM. Words of Remembrance will precede the Mass. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana.
