Adele Materne Catalanotto

Adele Materne Catalanotto passed away on May 17, 2014 at the age of 78 peacefully in her sleep. Loving mother of Kim Catalanotto-Doerries (Donnie), Joey Catalanotto (Gwyn) and Anthony “Tony” Catalanotto (Erika, Tyler and Dominic). Loving grandmother of Catherine & Caroline Jacobi and Gabriella & Gianna Catalanotto. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Joseph Catalanotto, her mother, Sarah Catalano Vaccaro and her father George Materne. She was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor. In her early life, she worked as a secretary for U.S. Rubber Company. For the next 25 years, she was a dedicated wife and mother until she decided to go into real estate until she retired in her mid-60’s.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum immediately following the mass.
