Ada de los Angeles Cosío Zayas Bazan was born in Camagüey, Cuba on August 10, 1932. On August 22, 2019 she passed away. May her beautiful and humble soul rest in peace with her loved ones who passed before her, beloved husband "Pepe", José Ramón Cosío and her daughter Ada María, along with her parents and 4 siblings. She was the mother of José (Maria Elena) Ada (Fernando) Vivian (Genaro), Maria (Gerard) and Rosary (Ronnie); grandmother of Lisa, José (Anna), Ricardo (Heather), Alex, Cristina, Alexis, Daniel (Tamara), Casey (Hannah), Rachel (Randy), Kelly and Kristy; great grandomother of Mikayla, Dylan, Kenzie, Matteo, Conrad, Kobi, Kohin, Hartlee, Ryder and Charlie. Ada was a very brave and upstanding woman loved and adored by all who met her.
May God put her in a special place where she will be watching over us, the people who loved and cherished her. God rest her soul in Peace! Please join us in saying “Hasta Luego” on Monday August 26, 2019. There will be a visitation/viewing from 10am-noon at the Blessed Francis Seelos Catholic Church on 3053 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA 70117 followed by a mass at noon. Church has it’s own Parking lot. Following the mass is her burial at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum on 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124.
