Gary L. Thomas

Gary L. Thomas, 73, of Groton CT, raised in South Kingstown RI passed away on April 29, 2021. He was the husband of Mary Ann Warner Thomas. He was born in Portland OR. He was the son of the late John Thomas and Marion Matteson Thomas. He was the brother of his surviving sisters Sherri L. Thomas of South Kingstown RI, and Beth VanPelt of Pottstown PA. He was a retired machinist and served many years on the South Kingstown police department. He was a former exalted ruler of the Elks Lodge in Grapevine TX where he resided for 15 years. He was an avid golfer and a sports enthusiasts. He coached little league and football when his kids were young. He loved his grandkids very much and was most proud to be called grandpa. He is survived by his children Craig S. Thomas of Kent WA, Terrence N. Thomas of Ashaway RI, Michael D. Thomas of Westerly RI, and his step son Craig D. Davison of Cleburne TX. He is pre-deceased by his son Jack F. Thomas of Sedalia MO. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, and his favorite furry companion Rusty.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Joy Assembly of God in Bradford, RI. A Memorial Service will immediately follow in the church at 12:30 PM.
