Carolyn O. Kennedy

Carolyn was born on October 27, 1918, in Blue Hill, Maine, the daughter of Marshall and Carol Hooper Olds.

Carolyn married Russell F. Kennedy on March 14, 1943, in Madison, Wisconsin. Russell died in 2001.

Carolyn retired in 1979 from the Central Vermont Railroad in New London, CT. She was a clerk.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Quaker Hill.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, the Rev. Russell F. Kennedy II, of Willington, CT; and Bob Kennedy and his wife Terry of Old Lyme. She is also survived by a granddaughter Jennifer Martin and her husband Paul and her grandson Seth and his wife Heather; her great grandchildren, Carolyn and Holly Martin and Kyle and Maya Kennedy; and her sister Eleanor Willey of Readsboro, VT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 17th at 10am in Our Lady of Perpetual Church, 63 Old Norwich Rd., Quaker Hill. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 16th from 6-8pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Bernard School, 1593 Norwich-New London Turnpike, Uncasville, CT 06382.
