RYNELLA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Freddie Migues, the former Loudella Gautreau, age 99, at 10:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary being recited by Deacon Theo Landry at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until 9:30 am.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Migues passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her residence.
Born on April 10, 1918 to the late Anthony and Effie Deslatte Gautreau, Loudella was one of eight children. Loudella was a faithful and devout parishioner of St. Marcellus Catholic Church for many years and served on the Ladies Alter Society. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing clothes for herself and her family. Loudella also excelled at baking. She was well known for her famous coconut pie. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Loudella will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Thibodeaux and husband James of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, Beverly Migues of New Iberia; brother, Floyd Gautreau of New Iberia; sisters, Nettie Larson of New Iberia and Susie Colley of Dallas; grandchildren, Lisa Migues Huval, Todd Migues and wife Sandra, Jason Thibodeaux and wife Tiffany, Joshua Thibodeaux and wife Sasha, Joel Thibodeaux and wife Amber, and Jordan "Lukey" Thibodeaux; great grandchildren, Jake Huval, Bryce Migues, Brennon Migues, Carson Thibodeaux, Jase Thibodeaux, Arya Thibodeaux, Kayleigh Thibodeaux, Caleb Thibodeaux, Stella Thibodeaux, and Elyse Thibodeaux; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Freddie Migues; son, Lloyd Migues; infant daughter; parents, Anthony and Effie Gautreau; brother, Roy Gautreau; and sisters, Grace Remy, Effie Hayes, and Betty Schwinn.
Pallbearers will be Todd Migues, Jake Huval, Jason Thibodeaux, Joshua Thibodeaux, Joel Thibodeaux, and Jordan Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be members and friends of the family.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dot Landry for faithfully administering Holy Communion every week to Loudella.
