Funeral Services will be celebrated for Mr. LeBlanc at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia. Fr. Keith Landry will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the service time. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.
Born on June 10, 1938 to the late Joseph LeBlanc, Sr. and Doliska Myers LeBlanc, Joseph Albert was one of two children. He proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard and in the Army Reserves. After his time in the service, Mr. LeBlanc began work at what was Azko Nobel Salt at the age of 19 and worked as a driller for twenty five years. He was well respected in his profession. Albert, as he was better known, was a kind and loving man who enjoyed the simple life of country living. He loved being outdoors working around the house and yard, tinkering with his vehicles, and BBQing. He was an avid fisherman who could often be found riding around in his boat looking for that next big one to bite! Joseph Albert will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and love him.
He is survived by his son, Anthony “Tony” LeBlanc; daughters, Brenda L. Migues (Gilbert), Donna LeBlanc (Anthony), and Angie LeBlanc; grandchildren, Summer Babin, Skyler Meyers, Ryan LeBlanc Leonard Migues, Christopher “C.J.” LeBlanc, Lane Migues, and Reece Touchet; and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Grace Landry LeBlanc; sons, Christopher “Chris” LeBlanc and Albert LeBlanc (infant); parents, Joseph LeBlanc, Sr. and Doliska Myers LeBlanc; and siblings, Joseph “Joe” LeBlanc, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Lane Migues, Christopher “C.J.” LeBlanc, Anthony Meyers, Skyler Meyers, Ryan LeBlanc, Reece Touchet, Leonard Migues, and Anthony “Tony” LeBlanc.
Honorary Pallbearer is Gilbert Migues.
