Geraldine Broussard Perez

Funeral Services will be celebrated for Geraldine Broussard Perez, age 77, at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Pastor Armand Prentiss of Assembly Christian Center will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and will resume on Thursday from 8:00 am until time of services.

Geraldine was born in New Orleans on April 9, 1936, was a lifelong resident of New Iberia and passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at her residence.

Geraldine was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. She loved attending services at Assembly Christian Center where she worshipped her Lord and Savior. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James C. Perez of Lydia; her children, Pam Cypel and husband Stefan of Lydia, Cecil Perez of New Iberia, Tim Perez of Lydia, Todd Perez of Lydia, and Christina Daoud and husband Wadid of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five grandchildren, Heather Cypel, Mandy DeRouen, Jade DeRouen, Kelli Cypel Pickett, and Kasha Perez; and five great grandchildren, Caroline Cypel, Kallen Cleckler, Joseph Cleckler, Gavin DeRouen, and Malee Perez..

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Aline Broussard.

Serving as pallbearers are Stefan Cypel, Todd Perez, Tim Perez, Cecil Perez, Wadid Daoud, and Jade DeRouen.
