Charles "Chubby" Landry

RYNELLA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Charles “Chubby” Lee Landry, age 65, at 10:00 am Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gene Tremie officiating. Interment will be held Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Landry passed away at 11:15 pm on Friday, September 6, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Landry was a member of the Men’s Softball League in New Iberia for many years. He enjoyed fishing and rooster fighting, but his true love was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet Dugan Landry of New Iberia; three sons, Todd Landry and wife Kristi; Toby Landry and wife Chantel and Ty Landry and wife Brittney all of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Ashton, Hunter, Alicia, Brody, Hailey and Briley Landry; one brother, Gerald “Jay” Landry of Erath and two sisters, Joyce Landry and Ruth Freyou and husband Harold all of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Eunice Landry.

Pallbearers will be Todd Landry, Toby Landry, Ty Landry, Ashton Landry, Hunter Landry and Joey Dugan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Landry, Larry Dugan, Gerald Landry and Colby Dugan.
