Margaret Smith April, 17, 1913 to May 23, 2013 celebrating 100 years of life. Born to Abina and William Gaine in County Kerry, Ireland. Arrived in New York City at the age of 17, lived through the depression, married Patrick Smith at the beginning of World War II and endured years of separation. Settled in Floral Park in the house she loved for 61 years and never wanted to leave. She enjoyed history, geography, reading and travel. She was a devoutly religious member of St. Gregory's Parish. Predeceased by siblings Mary Conway, Thomas Gaine, Hanna McKeever, John Gaine, Abina Fanning, Bridget Gaine, and William Gaine. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Loving mother of Debra and her husband Brian Wynne and grandchildren Patrick , Megan and her husband Nicholas Lombardo, Nora , and Carolyn. Survived by her cousin and close friend Rose Clarke, many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews who brought much joy to her life.
