Marion Sara Knoop Weber, 82, originally of Delmont NJ, passed away during the early morning hours of Saturday, February 5th, 2022. She was the third of seven children born to John “Jack” Henry Knoop Sr. and Elsie Mae Whitaker Knoop. Her siblings include: John Jr, Edna White, Elsie “Gits” Shultz, Shirley Potts (deceased), Noel (deceased), and Bonnie Robinson. Marion was married for 53 years to Donald Eric Weber Sr., who proceeded her in death 13 years prior. For most of her adult life she lived in Cedarville and Millville NJ, spending the last 12 years in Minneapolis, MN, supported by her oldest daughter Connie and the Dewhirst family.
She is survived by her six children: Donald E. Weber Jr. (Hellen), Michael L. Weber (Elizabeth), Connie S. Dewhirst (Richard), Glenn J. Weber (Kym), Darren S. Weber, and Valerie N. Mints; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
While raising her children, Marion worked for four years at Prudential Insurance, and 12 years at Wheaton’s General and Commercial Machine Divisions, where she was a valued bookkeeper and secretary. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially with one-to-one conversations, often witty, ornery, and sparring with many. She always made holidays a special occasion for her children, who were the joy and focus of her life. She loved singing, family dinners, birthday celebrations, weddings, picnics, coffee, eating out, walking on the beach, soaking up the sun, and traveling to visit family and friends. She served the Lord Jesus Christ for 20 years at Fortescue Chapel, and was Choir Director under the leadership of Pastor Francis Champion.
Mom’s favorite Bible verses were:
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28).
“But they, that wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint!” (Isaiah 40:31).
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 26th 2022, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 65 Hitchner Ave, Bridgeton, NJ 08302. Anyone who wants to celebrate Marion’s life is welcome to attend.
