David William Tourand

Dave passed away on October 25, 2024 after a long arduous fight with cancer.

Dave was born in Langdon, ND on October 23, 1944 to Ted and Clarine. He grew up in south Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Dave was a veteran of Vietnam.

Devout in his Catholic faith, Dave loved going to different masses and parishes around the Twin Cities.

Dave always knew the best little spots for EVERYTHING! His love for wine and socializing with all of his “wine” friends was his life’s passion. He had a huge heart and was always giving gifts, whether a bottle of wine, a honey walnut bar, or something to make you smile. There is nothing that he would love more than for everyone to take a moment to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee or a nice glass of Burgundy in his honor.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Clarine, and sister Joanne. He is survived by his siblings, Maureen, Donna (Bruce) Peterson and Richard (Lori); many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saint Helena Catholic Church, 3204 East 43rd St., Minneapolis, Minnesota 55406, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Following the mass will be a committal service at 12:45 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55450, meeting in Assembly Area #6.
