Theresa A. Dwyer of Skillman, NJ and Naples, FL died suddenly at her NJ home Wednesday, February 11, 2015. She is survived by her husband Daniel D. Dwyer, her step-daughter Brigid Fitzpatrick and her husband John. Also surviving are her mother Theresa O'Connell, brother Daniel J. O'Connell DDS (Jane), mother-in -law Florence Farrell, brother-in-law John Dwyer (Jean), nieces Claire, Catherine, Caroline, Julia and nephew Kyle. She is also predeceased by her brother Robert and father Maurice.Terry had a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry spanning over 30 years. She worked for Ciba Geigy/Novartis for 15 years and Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals for 15 years where she retired in 2012 as Chief Compliance Officer for the Global Pharmaceutical Sector. Along with her husband, Terry just recently finished a nine month consulting project in Barcelona, Spain for the Quantic Group Ltd.Terry graduated from Clarkstown South HS (1979). She received her BS in Biology/Chemistry from SUNY Oneonta and her Masters Degree in Industrial Pharmacy from Long Island University. Terry lived all aspects of her life to the very fullest. She loved to ski, golf and garden. Her career in the Pharmaceutical Industry gave her the opportunity to travel the world. In her youth she was a Champion Irish Dancer and an exceptional runner and soccer player throughout her high school years.Terry was also an All-American lacrosse player at SUNY Oneonta. She was most proud of her step-daughter Brigid's many accomplishments as well as those of her nieces and nephew. She adored her parents and brothers, but most of all she loved and adored her husband, Dan. Terry will be sorely missed by all and never forgotten.Friends may call Wednesday, Feb. 18th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home 321 South Main Street New City, NY 10956. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Thursday, Feb. 19th, 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Church West Nyack, NY. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery Nanuet, NY.
