Patrick Mullen

Patrick Joseph Mullen, of Nanuet, NY, passed away peacefully in the loving embrace of his family at his home on November 9, 2018. Patrick was born in Cornabanny, Cloonfad, County Roscommon, Ireland. He was born on June 15, 1934 to Mary and Thomas Mullen. He grew up happily with his brothers and sisters, Mary, Tony, Teresa, Kathleen, Josephine, Sally and Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife Mary and their children, Mary & husband Peter, Kathleen, Thomas & wife Deirdre, Patrick & wife Stephanie, and Anne & husband Michael, their grandchildren John, Peter, Bridget, Olivia, Patrick, Fiona, Matilda, Anthony, Charlie, Catherine and Julia and great-granddaughter Blair.

Patrick and Mary raised their family in Middle Village, Queens, NY. They were parishioners of Resurrection Ascension Church in Rego Park from 1959 to 2006, when they moved up to Rockland County, NY to be near their children.

From his birth to his death, he nourished people with kindness, love, faith and music. Patrick also had a tremendous talent of telling stories and singing songs from his memories of Ireland. He so cherished his extended family, from nieces and nephews to his many friends, in both Ireland and the United States.

Patrick worked many years in construction in Birmingham, England and followed by a twenty-five year career at Pan American World Airways in JFK Airport, NY.

He was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await him after his passing. His family and many friends will sorely miss him.
