Mary-Beth McCann

Mary-Beth McCann of Woodbourne, NY, 52 years old, passed away suddenly on June 6, 2020. Mary-Beth was born July 24, 1967 to William J. and Lola (D’Arminio) McCann and grew up in New City, NY. She graduated from Clarkstown High School North. Mary-Beth was a fantastic cook and baker and loved preparing scrumptious meals for family and friends, especially during the holidays. She loved spending time in the garden, and doted on the many dogs she rescued over the years. She is survived by her partner William Hoyle of Woodbourne, NY; her sister Marguerite (Peggy) McCann of New City, NY, brother John McCann of Scarbro, WV and brother William J. (Bill) McCann, Jr. of Niskayuna, NY. She is also survived by nephews Michael and Henry McCann, and niece Jordan McCann. Mary-Beth was predeceased by her loving parents William and Lola, and her sisters Julia and Patricia McCann. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary-Beth will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Cemetery in Congers, NY, next to her sister Julia. Arrangements by Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services are private. Donations in Mary-Beth’s memory can be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
