Marie Kissik

With heavy hearts, our mother, Marie A. Kissik passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family early morning on December 16, 2023. Marie was born on July 8, 1943 to Jenny and Salvatore Ruggiero in the Bronx, NY. Our mom met the love of her life Anthony when she was sixteen, on City Island. They married in 1964 and were inseparable ever since. They had two children, Anthony and Christopher whom they raised in New City, NY. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her five grandchildren, Cynthia, Matthew, Dawson, Daniel, and Jackson. Our mom’s true, true love were her two Maltese dogs, Franky and Patsy. They could do no wrong. Her passion was keeping an immaculate home and having a perfect arrangement of fake fruit in a bowl on her kitchen counter. She was also an avid Yankee fan since the early 70s. She stopped watching the games when the Yankees became WOKE. Our mom will be greatly missed. God will surely have a set of wings waiting for her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday December 20, 2023, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. Mass will take place Thursday December 21, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Augustine Parish 140 Maple Avenue, New City, NY followed by final resting place St. Anthony's Cemetery 36 West Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954.
