Leila "Lee" (Pellillo) Mazza

Leila "Lee" Pellillo Mazza of Congers, NY, 91 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 13, 2024. She is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws; Debbi Pellillo Vodika, Anne Pellillo Shanley & husband Kevin Shanley, Linda Pellillo Morano & husband Jeff Morano. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Christina Vodika Perkins and husband Jeremiah, Shawn Gleason & wife Jessica, Chase Gleason & fiancé Brittany, Kylie Gleason & Isaac, Gregory Morano & fiancé Kayla. She is predeceased by her sixth grandchild Gregory Vodika. She has six great grandchildren; Shura, Greyson, Griffin, Emma, Carter & expecting baby Penny. She is predeceased by two loving husbands William "Bill" Pellillo, father of her 3 daughters, and Charles Mazza. She cherished her time spent with her growing family, especially during the holidays.

Lee was born in Auburn, NY, On January 8, 1933 to Russell and Mildred Lader. She met her husband Bill while attending Ithaca College and they later married in 1955. After her husband Bill passed in 1977, she later met and married Charles "Charlie" Mazza. Throughout her life, Lee was a secretary in many different capacities, including legal, real estate, mortgage, appraisal & contracting, nursing home, and most recently The Village of New Hempstead.

Lee loved lighthouses, her favorite spot in Montauk, reading, and was an amazing knitter. Over the past 10 years, she fought many battles with her health and was a true medical miracle. She was a wonderful role model, loved by many, and will be truly missed.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 3-7pm at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home at 321 South Main St. New City, NY, 10956. Memorial Service will be held at Sunday October 27th, 2024 6pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations to the Joseph Raso Hospice Residence at 415 Buena Vista Rd. New City, NY, 10956, in the name of Leila Mazza.
