Joseph Fratinardo Sr.

Joe Fratinardo Sr of Pomona, NY, 77 years old, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2019. Joe was born on April 26, 1942 to Paul and Catherine Fratinardo. He married the love of his life, Maureen, in 1963. Joe was a policeman after a tour of duty in the Navy and a handy man in his later years. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, family parties and telling funny stories. His greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his wife Maureen, his son Joe Jr, his daughters Maureen Fitzgerald, Kristina Fratinardo and Lori-Anne Fratinardo, daughter-in-law Lori Fratinardo and son-in-law Patrick Fitzgerald. He has five grandchildren Kasey, Christopher, Megan, Jacqueline and Abby. He is also survived by his brother John Fratinardo and numerous nieces and nephews, his remaining five siblings are deceased. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends and family on Friday December 27th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 28th, 10am, at St. Anthony’s Church, Nanuet NY, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Jawonio (jawonio.org).
