Joseph L. Dooley

Joseph L. Dooley of Bardonia, NY, 63 years old, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. Joe was born in Richmond Hill, NY and spent the last 25 years in Rockland County. He was born on March 18, 1961 to Sally and Thomas Dooley. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially seeing his grandson, walks with his four-legged best bud, and spending summer days in his pool. He loved the New York Yankees and was a long-suffering fan of the New York Jets, but his greatest joys came from his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Maria (Galici); his children Joseph (Alexandra), Theresa, Marybeth, Claire and grandson Luke. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 10am, at St Francis Assisi, West Nyack, followed by interment at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Beagle Freedom Project.
