Joseph A. Consoli, 85, passed on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Beloved husband of Helen Consoli; loving father of Annette LoConti (Joseph) and Joseph (Donna); beloved grandfather of Michael and Stephen LoConti. He never missed a ballgame, school concert, scout meeting or graduation. Brother of John (Jeanette), Camille Petaros (Aristedes), Brother-in-law to Anne McDonnell (Edward). Uncle to Patti, John and Julie Consoli, Dion and Dorinda Petaros, Kathy and Anne McDonnell, and a Cousin and Great/Great Great Uncle to many more.
Joseph was the Retired General Manager of Future Motors, Inc. Secretary/Treasurer of the Mopar Managers Parts Club. He negotiated Medallion Taxi contracts and NYPD/NYC municipal contracts with NYC and New York State. He installed Future Motor's first computer center and worked in the 1970s with Professor Thayler of LIU on the conversion of NYC taxi cabs from gasoline to diesel.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a member of Regina Pacis parish. He served his country as a Sergeant in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was part of a surveillance crew in a B34 Bomber and successfully spotted German U Boats in the Gulf of Mexico and off the Eastern Seaboard. He and his crew flew over the Trinity Test Site in Socorro, New Mexico and reported the Green Glass shine on the sand surface. He and his crew were deployed to Tinian in the South Pacific but were sent home after the Enola Gay was successful in Japan. After the War, Joseph lived in Fort Worth, Texas and built B36s. He rode a horse in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Back in NYC he attended two years of Technical College and taught Mopar Master Technician Seminars for many years.
He enjoyed travel, loved good food, beautiful music, gardening, going fishing, Congers Senior Citizen Club Number One and Community Service (Traffic Light on Route 303 and Gilchrest)
Joseph is loved by all his relatives, neighbors and friends around his beloved country and abroad.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church Lake Road Congers, NY 11 am. followed by cemetery burial at Rockland Cemetery off 303 in Sparkhill.
The family requests Donations to American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
