John Harvey

Mr. Harvey was born on July 8, 1929 to Thomas and Elizabeth Harvey. After growing up in the Bronx, John met his beloved wife Karoline of 65 years and moved to West Nyack, New York to raise their family.

Mr. Harvey’s greatest joys in life were his family, faith and service to his country. His loss will leave a void of passion, love and true kindness. He will forever be remembered for his avid storytelling, witty sense of humor and heartfelt words of wisdom.

Mr. Harvey was a prominent member of Saint John’s Episcopal Church, serving as Usher Coordinator for several years. During his career, John worked as a Manager and Transportation Engineer for Time Inc. for nearly 40 years. John had a special place in his heart for cars, music, especially the bagpipes and the Glenn Miller Band, and his cherished New York Yankees.

He is survived by his wife, Karoline, daughter, Lorraine, grandchildren, Connor, Cole, Craig, Cameron and Cierra, and his great-granddaughter, Madison.

A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 365 Strawtown Rd., New City, NY 10956. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church.

Friends may send memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Saint John’s Episcopal Church, New City, New York.
