He was born in Pearl River General Hospital on October 16, 1942 to Joseph & Carmela Pino Arno. He lived for a short time in Shanks Village and spent his youth in Pearl River attending St. Margaret School & Albertus Magnus HS. Frank attained both BS & MBA degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He spent most of his finance career with ABC/Disney. In his retirement, you could find Frank dutifully manning the gate at Krucker’s in Pomona – his fun job.
On September 10, 1966, he married his childhood friend, Rita O’Shaughnessy. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Maria & Kevin Weaver, Kimberly & Erik Krucker, and Claudia & Jeff Bernet and grandchildren: Brandon (Jessica), Madeline, Kaitlin, Jack, Nicholas, Samantha, & Devon.
Frank is predeceased by his parents and son, Damian. And his beloved German Shepherd Charlie and Newfoundlands Brendan, Clarice, Shadow, Emily & Fiona.
He was always very proud of his family and Sicilian heritage. The Knights of Columbus were an important part of his life serving as a 4 th Degree member of the Color Guard and Trustee of McCloskey Council. And forever, a loyal Green Bay Packer fan.
The family is grateful for the loving care Frank received at Good Samaritan Hospital, Family of Caring Rehab, and Villa Marie Clair.
Arrangements are by Michael Higgins Funeral Home, New City. The wake will be Thursday, January 4, 3:00-7:00pm and the Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 5, 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack. Burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Damian F. Arno Endowed Scholarship, Fordham University, 45 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10023.
