Edward A. Coughlan

Edward Anthony Coughlan passed away on May 19, 2022 age of 88. Edward is survived by his sons Joseph Coughlan of Stony Point, NY. , Kevin Coughlan of New City NY. Joseph, Liam, Annette, Loraine Dolons of Roscrep, Co Tipperary Ireland, The Cosgrove family of Coorlony, Shinrone Ireland, The Coughlan Family of Dublin Ireland, The Coughlan Family of Roscrep, Tipperary Ireland, Edward and Elleen McKenna of Islip NY. , Mary and Edward Sonme of Islip, NY. Edward and Theresa of Islip, NY.

Edward worked for many years as a mason for Mime Construction and The Dominican Convent of Sparkill, NY as a groundskeeper. Edward spent years of his life as a tireless worker and dedicated person who take the time to finish all of his work to perfection. Edward spent his life’s enjoyment and all his hard work to his devoted family. He was a member of St. Augustine’s Parrish in New City.

Edward was well respected and loved by his many peers. He tremendously loved his family, his beautiful wife Mary, sons Joseph, Brendan, Kevin, Edward will be forever missed by his family and dear friends, most importantly he will be reunited with his beloved wife of fifty years; Mary, his son Brendan, all of his brothers and sisters and parents. We will be forever grateful for all his sacrifices and love he gave for us. We love you Dad.

Family will receive guests on Thursday, May 26th from 4-8pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Service; 321 South Main St. New City, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:15 am on Friday, May 27th at St. Augustine Church, 140 Maple Ave. New City, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
