Ann Eileen Collins of New City, NY, 92 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 12, 2024. She is survived by her daughter Teri Klingert and her husband Jack, her son Dave Collins and his wife Jenny and her daughter Joanne Sullivan. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Dani Miller and her husband Chase, Katie Morano and her husband Marty, Joseph Sullivan, Matt Sullivan, Mac Collins and Grace Collins and two great grandchildren Lexi Miller and Xander Miller. She was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Ed Collins, her brother Red McGrath, her sister Mary McGrath and her grandson John Klingert.
She cherished her time spent with family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she dearly loved and adored and who affectionately called her Grandy Mama.
Ann was born In Manhattan to Red and Anne McGrath on January 24, 1932. Ann married the love of her life Ed on May 17, 1957 and became a lifelong resident of New City. Ann and Ed were active parishioners of St. Augustine’s church. Ann had a great devotion to her Catholic faith, loved summers down at the Jersey Shore, playing bridge and reading.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 11am at Saint Augustine's Parish at 140 Maple Avenue in New City followed by a burial in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery; 36 West Nyack Rd. Nanuet, NY.
