With much sorrow my prayers are with Pat s loving family. Pat was strong and courageous. I had the privilege of working with her, and saw how hard working she was, and at the same time entertaining. Pat will be missed by many. I will never forget you Pat. RIP in heaven..👼💜

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Pat. She was a very special person, someone I looked forward to seeing everyday at ESPN. I always enjoyed hearing about the latest updates on her trips to the casino and her cruises. Pat was always smiling, no matter what the circumstances were. She will be missed and we are all very lucky we got to know her and work with her. 

So sorry to read of the passing of Mrs. Patricia Stachelek. I extend sincere condolences to the family. May her pleasant memory linger warmly in your hearts. The promise expressed at John 5: 25, 28 and 29 will help you cope with the loss because it reassures that loved ones will be reunited again.

I saw that Pat had passed on social media and wanted to pass on my sympathies for your loss. I worked at ESPN from 2006 - 2010 and enjoyed many chats with Pat during my time in Bristol. Years later, now back home in Australia I can still picture her vividly, such was the impact she had.  She was a special person who had a lasting, gentle touch. May she RIP.

Patty was one of the nicest people I knew. I would purposely wait to go in her checkout line in the cafe at ESPN. She was always in great spirits even on her toughest days. She loved sharing stories about her grandchildren and her trips. I am truly sad to hear of her passing. There is no doubt she left an impact on everyone who knew her here. We will miss her dearly. Pat was truly the warmest person I have encountered in my 14+ years of work at ESPN - through the countless interactions I had with her, she was always smiling, laughing, pleasant and kind. My condolences to you for your loss of a great woman, Pat.  I have worked at ESPN for 13.5 years and have been based in Chicago for the last 7.5 years (was in Bristol from '04-'10).  Pat always remembered my name and would always be so pleasant and friendly anytime I was in the café.  Over the course of the last few years, she would ask about my children and would light up when I showed her pictures.  She will be deeply missed and I hope you can take comfort in the fact that she positively impacted so many lives on a daily basis.

I remember when I first met her at ESPN she smiled and made me feel welcomed since day one. Will always remember that day at Rookie Camp as I was fresh out of college. Pat congratulated me and from that day forward with every smile and story she shared with many of us she became in my eyes a clear representation of what matters the most at ESPN, it's people. Thanks for always being so positive and cheerful. Sending thoughts and prayers to your loved ones.

I had hundreds of conversations with Pat over the years at ESPN and literally every single one ended with a smile. She was a wonderful person whose consistent optimism was an inspiration. Your day was immediately brighter after talking to Pat (and even brighter if she had just won at the casino!)  I'm sorry for your loss and consider myself very lucky to spend time around a person with such a joyful spirit.

Pat your strength was amazing..  Going for chemo and radiation treatments and then coming to work like nothing happened.  Service with a smile and grace always! Patty was my cousin born seven weeks before me.  We reconnected in our early lives when Carlie and she lived on West Main St..  I'll never forget how hard she worked even as a youngster, cooking and cleaning.  We had many laughs and as time went by we lost touch but I"ll always remember her smile and how she looked more like my mother than I did.  We would run into each other at various times and Patty loved talking about her girls and Wally, the love of her life.  Last time I saw her was at the Terryville Fair and she told me about her cancer.  From that point on, she was always in our prayers.  I'm sure she is now reunited with her parents and of course, Wally.   Rest in peace and God Bless you, Patty

I will dearly miss seeing Pat every morning in the ESPN caf. I always loved hearing about her family vacations and she had the strongest spirit even through her toughest times. No matter how much in pain she was, she always took the time to ask how Others we’re and remained positive through it all. Pat was a beloved member of the ESPN family.  I personally had the great fortune of seeing Pat several days a week for years... Every interaction I had with Pat was positive, and I always enjoyed hearing her stories about her time with family, her great vacations,  trips to the casino and so much more.  Pat was such a strong person, and an inspiration.  She was appreciated, and will be missed by so many.

I'm not sure Pat ever fully understood the positive impact she made on the employees of ESPN.  I know there were countless others just like me who shared their morning routine with Pat for years:  chit chatting about family, plans for an upcoming cruise or how she fared on her latest trip to the casino.  She always greeted you with a smile and a friendly goodbye, regardless of the weather outside or the happenings inside.  May the family and friends she loved so dearly be comforted by the wonderful memories you hold forever, and know her memory will live on through you and so many more.

I was just talking to her recently about her being tan and how good she looked and she was telling me all about her cruise. She always treated me so kindly and just loved on my daughter every time she was at work at ESPN with me. This breaks my heart 😥Much love to the family I know she loved and talked about so much. 

She was such a joy to see every day at ESPN. She would always ask me about my kids while telling me tales of her grandkids (and kids) ... we talked about family often and I know how proud she was of hers and how much they meant to her. Her loss is devastating for all of us here. What a wonderful person with such a great spirit. Much love and condolences to Pat’s family. I will miss her very much. 

I was fortunate enough to work with Pat and have her call me her friend.  She taught me so many things about life and friendship and strength.  I got to travel the world without leaving my home just by listening to all her adventures here and aboard.  She was a inspiration to me and I will miss her terribly. The heavens have recieved one very special angel.

Pat was one of those rare individuals that was blessed with goodness.; her quick smile and kind words could uplift anyone's day.

There are so many memories of my friend Patty. Carolyn Hong and I would go to see her each morning to find out how she was doing and she would tell us about her trips that are coming up or the ones she just took. She was so proud of being a mother, wife and friend. I loved her very much. She would always ask how the kids are and when they visited she would enforce the "make sure you do good in school because I know your mother". Heaven has gained an angel with a sweet soul. I can't imagine my days without your kind words my friend. Thank you for being you. Missing you so much.
