Michelangelo DiMarco 90, of Unionville, Ct passed away peacefully with his devoted family by his side into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 20, 2024. Michelangelo was born in Cassaro, Sicily on December 7, 1933 to the late Giuseppe DiMarco and the late Carmela Ziccone DiMarco. Michelangelo and his beautiful wife Franca along with their two children Joseph and Carmela immigrated to the United States and resided in New Britain, CT. Shortly after making their home here their third child Concettina arrived. After living in New Britain for many years they moved to Florida and years later returned back to CT. Michelangelo was a self employed stonemason and was renowned for his exceptional work. He was a member of the Generale Ameglio Italian Club where he loved to meet up with his friends and family for espresso, a competitive game of cards and to watch the soccer games. Michelangelo enjoyed music, and had a talent for playing the piano and the trumpet. Michelangelo loved to sing and was often said that he had an angelic singing voice. He was a great cook and loved sharing food with friends and family. He was an avid gardener and a perfectionist at heart which was always on full display in the landscaping around his homes but above all Michelangelo was an extremely devoted, loving and generous husband, father and grandfather. He showed kindness and generosity to all his friends as well. Michelangelo was predeceased by his wife the late Franca Saverino DiMarco and his sister Antonietta Italia. Michelangelo is survived by his children, Joseph and Melissa DiMarco of Bristol, Carmela DiMarco of Unionville and Concettina and Enrico Mangiafico of Farmington. Also his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Francesca, Paolo and Nico Mangiafico and Isabella and Matteo DiMarco all of whom will forever love and miss their Nonno.
Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2024 11AM at St. Ann Church, North St. New Britain (please meet family directly at church) Burial will take place on Wednesday June 26, 2024 12PM at St. Mary Cemetery, Stanley St. New Britain.
