Marie Bernier

Marie Rodriguez Bernier, 67, wife of Roger Bernier for 45 years, passed away unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm. She went on to be with the Lord on January 22, 2016. She passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital with family and friends by her side. Marie was born January 20, 1949 in Eagle Pass, TX to the late Mauro Rodriguez and Aurelia Montiel. She resided in Bracketville, TX before settling in New Britain, CT. Marie was employed by CREC Regional School.She was a member of New Life Church in Wallingford, CT.Marie enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Marie was the epitome of a social butterfly. She loved playing dominos and cards. If she wasn’t watching Nascar then she was watching UConn basketball or the Hallmark channel with her husband.

In addition to her husband, Marie will be dearly missed by - daughter Debra Marie Paris and her husband Drew Paris of Barkhamsted, CT; Son Kevin Bernier and wife Ashleigh Bernier of New Britain CT; two beautiful grandsons Taylon Bernier and Braden Paris who proudly called her Mimi. Marie will also be missed by many special family members, dear friends who are extended family, long time neighbors, and two beloved pups, Molly and Ginger.A time of visitation will be held, Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 from 4-8pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, CT 06053.A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Marie's life will be held Thursday, January 28th, 2016 beginning at 10AM with Pastor Will Moratti presiding, of New Life Church, at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain.
