Maria (Crispo) DiSalvo, Age 76 – Beloved wife of Mario DiSalvo for 56 years of Port Richey , Fl. formerly of Kensington, CT passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 after a long illness. Maria was born August 20, 1938 in Cardinale, Calabria, Italy to the late Salvatore and Caterina (Pirritanno) Crispo. Maria was employed as a seamstress for several New Britain area establishments until her retirement in 1993. She was a parishioner of St. Paul Church in Berlin, CT as well as St. James Church in Port Richey, FL. Everyone delighted and holds fond memories of Maria’s cooking. She spent many hours admiring her flower gardens and summers at Lake Hayward in East Haddam, CT with family and friends. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and open heart for family, friends and strangers. Besides her spouse, Mario, she is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Nicola (Nick) of Kensington. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ninetta Crispo and her brother-in-law, Angelo Fuschino. She is predeceased by her siblings, Vincenzo Crispo, Angelo Crispo, Elisabetta Fuschino, Peter Crispo. Funeral services will held, Monday, December 29th, 2014 with visitation hours from 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM at New Britain Memorial- Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home , 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Followed by her funeral liturgy at 11:30AM in St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St. Berlin, CT. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain.
