John Marcantonio Sr age 91, husband of Elena since 1968 of Limosano, Italy passed away on November 1, 2023 at New Britain General Hospital. John was born November 24, 1932 in Limosano Italy to his late Parents Giacinto Marcantonio and Nunzia Fiorucci. Mr. John Marcantonio was employed as a Union Painter. He served in the Italian Military. He was a parishioner of St Ann Church in New Britain. CT. He was an active member of the Sons of Italy.
In addition to his wife Elena, he leaves behind his son John Marcantonio Jr. of Berlin CT. He was predeceased by his brothers Antonio and Igino Marcantonio. He also leaves behind his brother Alberto Marcantonio of England, his sister Teresa Corvinelli of Italy and his sister Giuseppina Delgobbo Of Toronto Canada.
He leaves behind many nephews and nieces here in the US as well as England, Canada and Italy.
John enjoyed playing cards and bocce with his friends at the Italian Political Independent Club of Berlin CT.
Visitation will be begin on Monday November 6, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11am at St. Ann's Church, New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
