Hali’s passion was her many Boxer dogs through her life, the love of her heart, that she raised as they were her children as well. Those boxers were Ali, Smokey, Flo Flo 1st, Flo Flo 2nd, and is survived by Lulu which she loved with all her heart. Her passion was taking her precious boxer to Paderewski Park daily and walking and meeting people and simply enjoying those moments in the rain, shine, snow and even in hurricanes.
Hali was an amazing worker who worked hard in various factories but made her main 40-year career and proud retirement from Stanley Works which she was a proud member of the Stanley team.
Hali’s major passion was gardening and especially into her retirement. Hali was able to make anything green grow with the touches of her hands, her genius self-taught botanist and arborist mind and loving soul. Everything in the garden felt her love and the plants even have shown their mourning without her glow and touches no longer present. Hali even took care of wild frogs that returned to her garden and water buckets and pales every Summer and even fed one male frog by hand every year with worms which was simply amazing to witness. She even saved a frog from a snake's mouth that wanted one of the frogs as a meal and her saving that frog only reinforced the trust of her precious frogs seeking a safe haven in Hali’s garden. Hali’s memory will be cherished and missed and eternalized in every blossoming tree, flower and Spring into eternity and into heaven with her waiting to embrace each and one of us in the family when our journeys come to pass. Hali Starr was truly a ”Star” like our Sun that will shine on in our lives always guiding and blessing us with her memories, smiles and love.
