Ann Dolores Farr

Ann Delores Farr, of Farmington, beloved wife of James F. Farr, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2023. Born March 14, 1932. She is one of ten children born to Saverio and Pasquelina (Cianci) Calvo. Delores was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Sebastian, and Frank, and five sisters Grace, Fanny, Mary, Constance, and Patricia. She was also predeceased by a son, Thomas, and granddaughter, Katie.

As a young mom, she was in charge of overseeing the construction of five new homes in Plainville, on land that her mother inherited. Mom would give us kids paint-less paint brushes to keep busy. It is no wonder we found ourselves in the real estate and construction trades.

She began working in real estate in the late 1960’s and eventually opened her own business. Real estate and construction were a big part of her life but, what really defined her was love of family. She was always there to support us in good times and bad. She believed in God the Father and the power of His Son, Jesus Christ. She loved Mary the Mother of Jesus. It is so fitting that she passed on the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.

Delores is survived by her husband of 70 years. Daughter Esther, son James and his wife Marianne, daughter-in-law Michelle, sister Janet Paquette and husband Donald, grandchildren: Christopher, Jennifer, Thomas Joseph, and Becky; great-grandchildren: Lexi, Hannah, Christopher James, and several special nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews too.

A visitation for Ann will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, Connecticut. A brief gathering prior to church will occur Monday, January 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, January 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 110 Main Street, Farmington, CT. An interment services to follow at St Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
