Amelia (Kiejko) Godlewski, 91, beloved wife of the late Bernard Godlewski of New Britain, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019. She was born in Poland and had retired from Winslow Automatics after many years of service. She was a devout longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and member of the Ladies Guild. She will be remembered for her love of spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She is also survived by her children, Zygmunt Godlewski and his wife Margie of New Britain, Anna Godlewski of Plainville and loved by daughter-in-law Janina Godlewski of New Britain; her precious grandchildren, Lisa Wiecki and husband Robert, Richard Godlewski and wife Violetta, Tommy Godlewski and wife Margaret, Eva Dabrowski and husband Krystian and Adam Godlewski; 8 great-grandchildren Paul and Darek Wiecki, Priscilla and Roman Godlewski, Victoria and Timothy Godlewski, Ethan and Colin Dabrowski, sister Janina Maniczuk in Poland, nieces, nephews and many cousins. In addition to her parents and husband she is also predeceased by her son Kazimierz, brother Waclaw and sister Lodzia. A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 5 to 7pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Her funeral services will begin Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 8:30am in the funeral home for a brief gathering followed by her funeral liturgy at 9:30am in Sacred Heart Church.
